GB for lower grill?

I received my lower grille last wednesday. My happy to report that it arrived safely...

I installed it over the weekend. While I like the look it does bother me that some of the bars do not fully extend to the edge of the openning. Harley#356, I'd like to hear about the kit you used to flush mount yours. I'd like to do the same with mine. Do you have a picture of the brackets?

i agree with Terry (HD2002) about the bars not fully extending to the edges!

another reason to flush mount! ;t
although the pics of mine may not look like they reach the edges all the way, or that they stick out, it really doesn't. its weird, looks alot better (read more stock looking) in person than the pics show.

anyway, i don't have any pics of the brackets, i forgot to snap a few before i put the grille on, but i WILL get under teh truck and try and angle the camera up there to snap you a few pics of the flush mount brackets before this weekend sometime.

They were made by Mitch from FTW. he bent some flat stock steel, and welded 2 pieces together to form a L shape that extended out and drilled 2 holes in the metal.

well got my '03 grille last nite and put it on... deffo much smaller than the '02... only three tubes and not sure if i got it on rite or not... thot that the longest tube shoulda been the upper most, but just didn't fit well, so mounted it with longest tube at the bottom (lowest)

hmmm.... be intrested to see wot everyone thinks once they start arriving...

Well, I'm definitely interested in getting the lower grille to match the upper one on my 03 HD. Does anyone have good luck in getting these grilles installed properly? Any pictures?

I heard that the lower grille is not flushed, is that true?

Its an easy install, will mine was, for an 02. As long as you don't have the licensce plate bracket it will be easier. Their are lots of pictures of this, and it is not flush. But some people have made custom brackets so it is flush.

The lower grille can be had at seller: toms4wd on eBay. He handled the group buy from J&J Enterprises. It is an auction, so it may be slightly higher than the group buy price.
