    Continued wheel/shifter discussion

So now we can stop hijacking Venom's line lock thread...

Anyway, this PCS controller plugs right in to the 4R100 tranny, and the Twist Machine paddle shifter can plug right into that. But sweet mother of mercy, it's $700 bucks! Add another $500 for the shifter itself, and that's a pretty expensive birthday present for myself. Some may scoff and say it's impractical, but who cares. Paddle shifters = COOL.

I think I'd be too afraid to splice the shifter dirctly into the stock controller.

The unit cannot be used with the OEM wheel, but I am sure with some machining it could be made to work.

Cool! - You found a controller that would work!
Yeah its pricey at $700 for it.
Then again, think of it this way...

If it was a factory option for your truck when you were buying it (like the autostick is for the Audi's and Porsches), and it was $1200... would you get it?

    So, it would be:
    $700 - Controller
$150 - Wiring Harness to connect it
    $500 - Shifter

Did you also see that display that they had? Might optionally want one of these so you know what gear you're in.

Hell yes, I would. But if it was a factory option, there would probably be something about it that sucked.

Does that display say A/F ratio? Can a wideband be hooked up to it?

I just dropped a e-mail to our new found friends at Accurate Machine Works ( latent plug ) to see if they would be interested in maybe machine up a adapter to fit these to our stock steering wheel set-up.........

How about rigging it to run off the cruise control buttons?

    Any word on A/F?

Airtroop: That site also has small gear indicators that can be wired-in. I like those better than a G-Comp style meter, but like I said, if they won't answer inquiries, I'm not sending money.

Sure - I've heard of other people doing that as well, but Sparco wheels just look too good IMO. Airbag, schmairbag - that $hit's overratred
