Finally made a full pass in the HD

Well I have finally made a full 1/4 mile pass with the HD at Cecil County Dragway. The first time I went, they were only running the 1/8 for some reason. So, we hooked up a G-Tech meter and I just pushed it though the whole 1/4 anyway. The G- Tech meter said that I had run a 13.80 at 108. I thought this was way too optimisitic. I expected like mid- to high- 14s. So, finally I got the chance to run the full 1/4 and here are the results:

    R/T- .252
    60'- 2.106
    330'- 5.890
    1/8- 8.997
    MPH- 79.54
    1000- 11.690
    1/4- 13.981
    MPH- 98.64

This pass was made hot after driving 40 minutes on I- 95 to get there. And needless to say I was quite impressed. I followed this run with 2 more 13.98 passes. Consistency, consistency. I was pretty stoked about this considering the truck was full weight with the tailgate down, trailer hitch, bald Goodyears, Belltech shackles, no muffler, and a C&L intake with a cone filter and that's it. Just thought you guys would like to know....

6# lower, Accufab single blade TB, C&L intake elbow, Bilstein L-spec shocks, Bassani long tubes, Magnaflow hi-flow cats, Magnaflow DI/DO
    222K.... I think it's time for a rebuild

Good job on squeaking into the 13 sec club. With some better tires you could drop that 60ft time down and improve your 1/4 time even more.

Yeah, that's the plan. 'Cuz the Goodyears have definitely seen better days. I've got a '98 F150, too, so I might snatch the spare from it and mount up some ET streets and see what it does.
