Why isn't my truck getting 23-24 mpg? I have an edge platinum and exhaust...best I've seen was 19 mpg, and that was keeping it around 70 mph. I think someone's math may be off a little. But if it makes any difference I was towing my 5th wheel down an 8% grade and the overhead computer said I was getting 99.9 MPG, anyone beat that?

I saw about the same mileage as Snake stock(15-16), and about the same as his with some mods.(16-18). Usually I average around 17. And only seen 18 a couple times. I dont drive too much for mileage tho. Im a Smoker...

Ive never seen my computer read anything over 17.6mpg. Its usually not too far off.

Its too good to be true. After reading this thread again, I think the member who claimed big mileage thought his fuel tank was smaller than it really is.

What kind of thoughts do you guys have on a 2005 HD F-250 with 49k miles for $30,800. Not a dent or scratch on it, Eclipse Nav, and some other minor mods. Overall it is in super clean shape...

Sounds like a hell of a deal to me. Most of the '05s I've seen have been in the mid to high $30k range, with more miles. If it's super clean like you say, I'd say go for it. Make sure to get lots of pics, you know how us harley guys are....pic junkies

Right! A great price I would think too. Make sure you get an Oasis report and make sure the truck has not had any serious problems that they can't resolve.

So are you going to trade in the f-150 for the f-250?

I sold the F-150 back in October...$19,500 with 93,000 miles. I sold it with intentions of paying off my Maxima and then buying a F-250, but this deal seems worthy of pushing up the buy date

I bought my f-150 back on 9-1-07 for $20,420 w/ 87,400 on the odometer but if I was financially strong enough to go for the 05 f-250 I would of, CarMax actually brought in a 2004 or 2005 solid black/blue flamed hd f-250 when I was signing the paper work, it only had 31.5k and they were asking 39,000, which was just a little out of my price range. Hopefully you'll get the truck and you'll get to experience a whole other side of the nhtoc forum's, good luck.

If it was black with blue flames it was either an 06 or 07.

If you go over to The Diesel Garage - A Performance Diesel Site you'll learn all you want about diesels and someone over there will be able to run that oasis for you
