    Elliott,

Whew... You know me, Mr. Panick!! I just saw another thread where there's was installed the other way... Heck, I was so excited I didn't even notice when we installed them. I was certain that you guys knew -- cause you know I don't... but thought to ask, just in case. Anyways, issue resolved.

Are you guys doing rotors and pads or just rotors? What kind of material do they use in their pads? Ceramic or organic? This sounds like something Id like to do. If one of you guys gets them before the GTG thursday please bring them, Id like to see them before install, or after if your gonna be there Jimmie.
    Thanks!

I'll be there... we did the rotors and pads... I originally had the Hawk HPS (front and rear), but got the wrong one for the fronts -- went with Wagner's. I'll be there Thursday.

uh-oh from Brembo Brakes site (FAQ):

    http://www.buybrakes.com/brembo/faq.html#q28

Which direction should the discs rotate?
It is a popular misconception that the slots or drillings in a disc determine the direction of rotation. In truth, for an internally vented disc, the geometry of the vanes dictates the direction of rotation. There are three vane types in use:

    Straight
Pillar vane (comprised of many small posts)
    Curved vane
The first two vane types are non-directional, and can be used on either side of the vehicle. The curved vane disc, however, is directional. A curved vane disc must be installed with the vanes running back from the inside to outside diameters in the direction of rotation. Please see figure. Orienting the disc in the manner creates a centrifugal pump. The rotation of the disc causes air to be pumped from the center of the disc, through the vanes, and out through the outside diameter of the disc. This greatly enhances the disc's ability to dissipate heat.

Additionally, all of Brembo's slotted discs are directional as well, regardless of the vane geometry. The discs should be installed such that the end of the slot nearest the outer edge of the disc contacts the pad first. Please see figure.

Funny thing is there is no figure to view, but this sounds like mine may be on backwards...

I know... I'm over it... In fact, watched an episode of "Rides" last night with the "Foose" team working on a hot rod and the brakes were set up like mine....

    I'm over it.

I might actually just go with regular ole Ford brake pads. Since the parents will pay for those, but i cant get them to pay for better/aftermarket pads. Then we will find out if the rotors themselves actually help in stopping.

    K. I'm ready to install some things. I have everything, but gonna give the truck to Ford for a final check up before warranty goes out before i do all the mods.
