What about adding chat?

I was thinking it would be really cool to be able to talk to eachther in more "real time".
As it is, a lot of the threads are being used almost like chat.
Just an idea.

i dont want to burst any bubbles but.....wouldnt it just be easier.....aka cheaper for nan and bigD if we just got AIM??? I know some people here are anti AOL programs but it would be relatively easy to add screen name under everyones NHTOC#. Then if we wanted to talk to someone with quicker than 60 sec response times......all wed have to do is hit them up on AIM.

I bet it would cut back on the amount of posts and therefore less bandwidth and space used
but there would be a bit more bandwidth used for the chat but that's only when the chat is active and it doesn't use storage.

I just got rid of AOL after a two month battle over them trying to screw me out of $98, and I lost. Can you get an AIM account without getting back into the AOL bs?

ok dont take this the wrong way. but wouldnt simple be adding a line for everyones SCnames under the avatar? and adding a sticky with the AIM DL for those who cant find aol.com???

yes AIM accounts are free nothing to worry about except for those who think aol is the devil.....you can set up any name you want provided its not already taken and it is DLed from the aol site.


I dont have aol either. I just use AIM. I pay 4.95 per month to keep my aol email accounts bc I dont feel like informing everyone of my email change.
