    Question Stock OE HU removal

OK, all you audio gurus! … need some help!

Situation: About a year ago I had a local shop install an N1 in my truck. I still have the stock OE HU/CD-changer. Hence, I know nothing about the procedure for R&R of the stock HU. My brother has an ’02 Expy equipped with the exact same HU/CD-changer as originally came in my truck. The HU in his Expy took a dump. I figured I would give him mine and help him pull his and plug mine in.

Issue: Thought it would just be a matter of pulling off the plastic dash surround, inserting the “U-shaped” wire “grabber/puller-thingees” and just withdrawing the HU. Not so! Does NOT want to slide out! What are we missing/doing wrong? Is there some “trick” to this? Thought this would be a very simple pull-out/slide-in operation?

yep its pretty simple as Chris said. just make sure those little U shaped keys pop into place and when you pull towards the doors it should pop out
