thankfully they dont make harley replicas in wagon wheel size
The Nittos NT 420 S look good. they say they have a 460 treadwear rating, tho they are HR rated, not good. I may not go 0ver 120 too often, but I may see 100 on the highway when the time is right.
are the Nitto 420's out yet? the tread pattern on those is friggin SICK!
i dont mind the HR rating for 120 mph. got pulled over once for 130+ and that was on the old style goodyear GTII's which were only rated to like 100 mph instead of the newer VR rated ones stupid i know. lol...but somebody was watching over me cuz i made it safe and only got a warning
i'd definately go for a set of Nitto 420's over BFG's though!
I have this idea for a long timeOriginally posted by 01harleydude
i was thinking of just putting 22's on the back, does that sound dumb?
Maybe is a cheaper way to go... two guys buy one set in partnership, put on the rear and have some time to buy the second one...
Corvette has 18"F and 19"R
SSR has 19"F and 20"R
Why not ... HD 20"F and 22"R...

If that's the case you can put me down for either November or December.Originally posted by INTHE12'S
OK fellas here's the deal. The 1500 for the wheels and tires was the " OUT THE BACK DOOR PRICE" !! The guy told me that if a bunch of us are looking to get wheels there is no way that many can go OUT THE BACK DOOR !! I asked him to find out can we get that deal if we buy one set a month until we all have a set. (ie 356 gets his this month then I get mine next month and so on) If everyone wants at the same time I need to know how many people and what size tires you want and then he will let me know the price per set. The inside of the wheels are chrome but it's not nice and flat like the outside. The stock center will work but they need to be modded slightly.
Josh, I know you said 285/35/22 would be the wise choice it the truck was lowered, but what would be the recommeded tire size for a non-lowered truck? Same tire size or go with a different tire size?

Discount tire shows them. about $240 and up, depending if you go with 285, 295, 305 with different series. I can't remember off hand but they show 35 thru 45 series ratios.Originally posted by Harley#356

OK I just got off the phone with wheel replicas (out in Katy , Texas). they have changed their website and no longer carry 22's (or 20's) for Lightnings and Harleys. If there is another site, correct me. They didn't have any stock either. NOW, I saw on ebay a place called Detroit Rims that does advertise 22' Harley replicas. SO, that being said, any updates INTHE12's on your deal for the NHTOC members? Let us know.
i would still go with the 285/35/22's, and consider lowering your truck even a little. a 1" front drop and a set of 2" rear shackles will have a nice stance and look great with the 285/35's. i think anything bigger and the tire gets to be so huge that they just end up looking like stock 20's until you are right up close. if you are okay with your fender gap now, you'll be okay with the fender gap on the 22's with 385/35's since they are both the same overall diameter, and wont effect the speedo/odo in any way either
I still have my 22" replicas brand new in the box from when I purchased them a year or so ago. If anyone is interested pm me and I'll get some pics up.
What brand replica's are they? Post Pics
