I almost started a thread called "I don't want to drive my truck" and still don't know why I didn't.

I was trying to find a good spot to take some pics and stumbled onto this road paved with crushed seashells. I got out and scuffed it a little with my feet to see how much dust was kicked up, and it wasn't much........but I still drove about 3 mph until I got to that area. Driving back, I didn't go much faster. And of course, on the way home, a bird drew a bead on my engine hood and took a berry filled shat right in the center. Good thing I had the Z6 at the house!

Can photoshop make that first pic less blurry?

And thanks for the info belair........food for thought for me. I still am undecided about lifting or not. I put a lot of miles on my rig and I think the mpg would crush me.

So much for "I'm just going to put an exhaust on this truck. And that's it."

Dayum Snake, that looks bada$$. Post up some details of what you used and the tire/wheel combo. I may have to rethink lifting mine. How's the ride now?.

More info on the truck. All of that stuff is accurate except for the "engaged to a wonderful woman" part. She ended up being more nutty than a squirrel turd and is out of the picture.

HD DUDE! What's goin' on bro? I was wondering where you've been! Things are going great out this way. Moved to Tampa, Florida a little over a year ago and started a new job. Obviously I keep dumping money into the truck. Oh well, you can live in your truck but you can't drive your house.

Pgreen -- truck is riding on a 8" Rize 4-link lift kit, Donahoe Racing Plush Ride 8" springs out back, King Coilover reservoir shocks up front, King reservoirs out back, and all that is sitting on 37/13.50/22 Toyo Mud Terrains wrapped around 22" Alcoa Super Single 10 lug wheels.

IMO, the truck rides at least as good as it did stock. In a lot of situations it rides better than stock. Not too bad considering its probably tipping the scales at close to 9k lbs. (It was 8180 lbs before I lifted). If you're considering lifting and want to maintain your ride quality, I'd highly recommend going with a 4-link lift and not a radius arm lift. And don't cut corners with your shocks. King makes your shocks for your specific application (in my case, 05 diesel crewcab with 8" of lift), but there are other great shock companies out there.

Needless to say, I'm VERY happy with how everything turned out. Its been lifted almost a year and I went from the occasional "Nice truck" to having people stand next to it to get their pictures taken. Very flattering.

Since that picture was taken, I've swapped out the bumper for this.....
