GTG at Torrie's place was great

Just back from St Augustine, about a 4 hour trip. I'm a little tired but I had a good time.

First, I want to say thank you Torrie for having us there. It was really nice meeting you and I look forward to visiting you again soon. For those who have been on the edge of whether or not you want Torrie to tune your truck, I say he is worth the drive from wherever you live. He knows his stuff and it was real interesting to watch him and how much he was paying attention to what the trucks were telling him on the dyno. Torrie was very organized and very serious when he was working on the dyno.
I'm sure more people will chime in with their experiences with Torrie, but it was great to meet him.

    Now to the fun stuff!!!

I have to say there were no girls in bikinis washing trucks. Sorry Venom and 2many. There were about 12 or so trucks at Torries place doing mods and getting Dynos. It was HOT!!!! The one exception was when he had a little 5-10 minute sprinkle that cooled us down a little, but for the most part it was a scorcher.

I had my truck dyno'd the only mods I've done so far is a 6" lower and a cone filter in place of the airbox. I have stock exhaust. I also have a Predator tuner so I was able to make adjustments as I got my 3 pulls. The first pull was aborted because I was running lean. That didn't surprise me at all because I thought my truck was leaning out after I received a predator tune from REM. I adjusted the fuel on my 2nd run, and advanced the time on my 3rd run. My numbers ended up being 362.90 hp amd torque 447.55. I was extremely happy with those numbers. Torrie kept telling me that the numbers would be a better if it wasn't for this weather. So I know I can play a little bit when December and January gets here. The truck feels like I think it should and it's safe which is very important. I wanted to go WOT every chance I got. It turned out to be a 12 hour day for most of us, but I think everyone left there happy. BTW I have pics. but don't know the best way to post them.

Fepony, Thanks for coming out. It was really nice to meet you. I know you are going through some tough stuff right now and I really appreciate you coming out to hang with us for a while. Feel better soon.

Musturbo, Nice to have met you and your wife. You know your way around a hammer.

Smoak, Congrats on getting your truck running safely. I know how frustated you've been so I hope yesterday is the beginning of good things for your truck.

    cfradam, thanks for not snoring.
Cayman150 Thanks for coming from the Island and bringing the rum cake and sauces. I'll be BBQ'g tonight to try one of them out.

All of the usual suspects, good seeing you all again.

I look forward to seeing everyone at the next gtg.

I think his final number was 382/484. His truck was the last to go on the dyno which was around 10pm and his truck was LOUD!!

Mark and I installed a 6lb lower on his rig, and he already has a L upper. I cant remember what he ended up with, but they were very good. By the time he got on the dyno it was @9 pm. he had a problem with his heat exchanger pump (not running) that Kurt fixed with a hammer. Mario has no cats and a maggy, and at 10pm I'm sure that some of the people that live close were not happy campers.

I just got back myself. What a great time was had by all. (from what i saw) Sorry to all for my lack of energy and uselessness. (but i did bring beer and pop) All in all I think it was an awesome GTG. Mario took the big numbers. When the weather cools down he will definitely be in the 400/500 club! Thx to everyone for busting their humps on my truck. You guys are the best! The heat was horrible! Robbed us all on the dyno. 96*/97* and 50%+ hum. for most of us on the dyno. This is the greatest bunch of guys I ever met! I won the "dirtiest truck" award hands down.

It was great meeting you all and I look forward to seeing you all again soon!

Torrie my friend, you rock! Thx again.

You should have software that came with your camera to download them to your PC. Then size them to 600 x 480 & post.

We need pics!!!!!!!!!!!! Sound like a great GTG.

FINALLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! MY truck is awsome and it is safe. I had to switch snouts to put a bigger upper pulley on, with it on the truck, because the pulley tool would not cooperate.

I even won the most HP contest with 385hp and that was in 94 degree wheather.

Afterwards we went for dinner at Hooters, it was a great time. Great group of people.

    Torrie's new truck is sick!

P.S. I picked up some slicks so we will see when the wheather cools down.

I will post pictures later tonight
