probably wont be for 2 weeks, since all next week i'm working 2nd shift with no days off, so atco's out of the question.

i was gonna go tonight, but this weather is crappy as usual

but september is right around the corner, with cooler weather and better times

and my stock goodyears are so damn worn...i think i've got my very own set of homemade slicks

It was just over $600 shipped. If I can be so bold, I'd recommend checking out gogodiesel.com for your diesel needs.

I'm trying to figure out why you had to cut pipes, I used the Bassani turbo back system on my 04 H-D s/d(pretty much the same system) and didn't have to cut anything, dropped the right rear shock and the trans x-member(put a jackstand under the trans) and slid everything out intact, also did the same system on my 06 F350 dually 4x4 and have never cut anything. The whole job only took about 2 hrs.

I am really kicking around the stainless duals and running a test pipe and deleting the cat. Did you get a engine light or any drive-abilty issues with no cat and the straight pipe?

Slick--I didn't undo the shock or cross member. Wasn't planning on using the old exhaust ever again so it made sense to cut it out.

NJ--No engine light or drivability issues at all.

Makes sense, I took the exhaust off my 04 H-D and moved it to the 06 dually I just traded for. I don't keep vehicles long so I wanted my stock exhaust intact.

Cool I am doing the duals with no cat and I will use there muffler, it seems wide open anyway so I doubt there is any restriction

LOL! I thought that same thing.

My question is about the install. Do you even have a muffler on the truck now?

Hog--no muffler, no cat. At idle, under normal acceleration, and at cruising speeds, you can't tell. Its actually very subdued. But get on it and it sounds like a big block. And over 80 mph, it gets pretty loud. What sold me on the MBRP system is that you can put your muffler or cat back on in less than 30 min with hand tools: no cutting or major surgery to get them back in place if you have to go through inspection.

Oh--and I'm down to one mower now
