haha, how far does it stick out? if anybody can get a profile pic from a few different angles i'd appreciate it. that may make my tail light decision a lot easier!

it's not extreme, but the rest of the tail light is pretty flat. If the OEM is camel toe, then the LED can be a hump. a hump. a lovely lady hump.
In all seriousness I would say it's similar to a single OEM hump.
Hopefully someone will chime in with a pic.
***edit
pulled this from the HTSC "vegas bound crappers" thread.... i think it's actually out of 100th's gallery
You can see that it's a subtle hump, and not a wicked bump. Bannana hammock stylee.

haha a lovely lady hump LoL!
guess if its no bigger than an OEM one i wont totally rule the tails out. i really hope separating my L tails works though, then it'll save me this decision! lol
damn i saw this post and got excited! remember what i said this weekend josh!!!
haha um....refresh my memory?
i was thinking about getting a set of led tails and painting them black.
i plan to do the same one day but have no immediate plans lol
ah haha. I wish they sold a much lighter version of VHT Night Shades. More of just a tinted smoked clear instead of black tint spray. Then I'd be able to get the L tails covered enough where its got even/smooth coverage, and not be too dark.
really banking on the VHT on the chrome portion turning out. if that works i'll be stoked! if not....i'll give the black LED tails a whirl
yep thats the problem haha, and especially for something light will be shining through, it'll show EVERY bit of uneven coating.
doing some research on separating the stock L tails, going to tackle it this weekend and give the VHT a shot on the chrome.
Thanx for noticing the bu8mp on my rear RMAN. The pic that you posted is the beast one as for showing the reverse light. The BEST pic IMHO is this one:

hey marshall is there a way you can put some window tint on it and see how visable it is during the day and night? i really like the painted tails but don't need the oinkies harassing me.
The course of the bubble
The only thing it's holding me up to get exactly as Marshall has is the reverse portion,if I could at least separate and paint that chrome section in candy red or something to match...I'd be all over it

here is my pics & I hope this helps & there many pics in my gallery

hoff, for that i think you'd be better off tinting the clear part of the lense with a tinted red clearcoat, because the rest of the tail is all chrome inside, with a red tinted plastic lense, and just the plastic over the reverse area is clear plastic. if you paint the chrome part under there red, it'll look a bit odd with red tinted plastic over chrome everywhere else and clear plastic over red tinted chrome there. hobby shops and stuff should carry red tinted clear.
tpr, i was talking with deebee in another thread, he said he's been messing around with different shades of tinting. starting with very little black mixed with clear, and adding a little more black at a time til he got the mix he wanted. i'm thinking of going with the red LED's and having him spray them with a very light shade of tinted clear to darken them up just a teeny bit to look sorta like the dark red tails my stealth has
