Example of custom overlay he designed for a member of FTW.........she's getting grill, steering wheel and tailgate overlays in brushed chrome with black writing. Keep in mind this is the computer copy and doesn't have the colors added. She's going with brushed chrome and black script. The font is called "Vulgar Display of Power."

Cayman---he's pretty sure he CAN make the Lightning overlay for the steering wheel. If he can do that, the tailgate is no prob. Just need to verify the badge size is the same as the 04 F-150's (both grill and tailgate). If you can find that out, we should be good to go! I'll keep you up to date as I learn more.

FYI: 04/05 F-150 Tailgate and Grille have 9" emblems. Steering wheel emblem is the same as 99-03 (2").Originally posted by Snake

99-03 F-150 grille emblem is 7" and the tailgate emblem is 5.75".
97-98 F-150 grille and tailgate emblems are 5.75"

Sorry for the late reply....was on travel to Hawaii. As you already figured out, the sizes for the Ls are the same for the HD.

I think the '04 F-150 is the new body style (waay bigger rear badge) while the '04 L is still the "old" Gen 2 body style.

Krom--yes, the 04 F-150 is the new body style with a bigger tailgate badge. In fact, both badges (grill and tailgate) are larger than the 03 F-150's which is why they're slightly more expensive. And the grill and tailgate badge on the 04 F-150's are the same size.
So we think the 04 L's have the same size badges as a 03 F-150?
I want one set for the HD. Just the front grill, tailgate and steering wheel in black. Just like the ones that Cayman wanted. Please let me know where to send the money to. Thanks.

If the 04 Lightning is the same body style as the 03 Lightning, then the badges are the same as the 03 Harley. All F-150s of a specific year had the same emblem size.Originally posted by Snake
