Laugh Show me your rear end

    Lads

The 2003 arrives at the end of the month.
No MOT needed till June 2006 but I will have to sort the lighting some day.

I absolutely hate the trailer light option for a rear fog and am not over keen on the old "orange bulbs in the reverse lights" trick.
I did this to my old F150 and was never happy with it.
I'm thinking about frenching in a rear foglight to the bumper but was wondering what everybody else had done.
Ben-Hur sent me a pic of his but I would appreciate seeing what anybody else has come up with for a neat solution.

    Cheers.

Adam are you talking about indicators or fog/ reverse lamps ?if it's indicators then I quite like the orange lamp in the reversing lamp hole it's clean and looks right, well as right as it can

What about visiting a truck stop, they are plenty of LED lights in any format/color,maybe a 3rd,right under the left tail light on the gap between the bumper and the bed, right where some here have a "line of fire" ,but then you only put on the left

Very discreet, and only show up when it's on

    Adam,

I have been thinking about smoothing my rear..(not waxing).

The fog light issues raised have got me thinking.
    What about this..

You can also buy the same but in clear or Lexus style which with a clear bulb rather than red would match up as a reversing light and look like a matchin pair.

Not sure what they would look like together but maybe someone who is a smartarse with photshop may mock it up for us?
Either that or some from a Lexus IS200 which are round. Again buy one and get a clear lens with a white bulb for the reverse...

Hmmm. That's off the Peugeot 207 isn't it?
I really don't want to cut into the body work or bumper really.
I'm seriously considering having a go at making my own tail lights with all the lamps inside.
I've seen these lamps which are 55mm dia and you would need 4 in each lamp. Indicator(orange) Stop/tail(red) Fog(red) and Reverse(white)

I'm going to try and get my ricer CF tails apart and rebuild the inside to mount the lamps. Should work.

    Dean,

Were you talking to me or Adam regards the bumper? Mine got bashed the other day but never caught the lil bugger. It has pushed the corner into the wheel. Its not touching but looks well strange. I think the brackets will need straightening but the bumper itself doesnt look damaged.

By the way, did you know Rebel has had to change address due to a hacker. Its now on rebel-v8.com....

    Cheers mate.

If it works, I'll post the pics and a how-to.
The worst bit will be seperating the lens from the lamp body.
Going to try and bake it in the oven to soften it up (obviously when the wife is out )

What lights are you running then? How did you do with side indicators? I thought there would be a problem with not having any amber side lights?

    Congrats anyway.
