Pics taken today. Items are just under a year old and the modem has been sitting, unused, in one of my closets since April 2005.

Same here. Lots better than dialup for anyone who doesn't have access to cable or DSL.

Sold the modem on ebay to a girl from Australia last week. Re-listed the dish on ebay and its up to $50 already. I dunno who needs just a dish.

I thought it was like $100 a month for the first year. Cause I remember looking into it when we moved into the country and it was way to expensive. Now we have this dsl by antenna waves, and we have so many problems. I may have to look into it again.

Now that you mention it, I think there was some other charges for the modem that got split up on the first 3-6 bills that put the total up to like $99 a month at first. I can't remember for sure though.

If I remember right, the initial install and equipment purchase is expensive---like $400 or $500. I paid that up front and my bills were $59.99/month.

Is it possible that your extra fees were from the setup/equipment purchase?
