    One piece hale/LED install/wiring Diag.

A lot of people are getting the lights now, so I figured I'd do a quick how-to.
Here is the light we're gonna be talking about.....

you will prolly wanna swap out the corner bulb that comes with them - it's a big orange globe, if you pick up a set of Silverstar bulbs, they look silvery blue when off (see pic) but light up yellow

Start by pulling your stock lights out.
This is so easy it's kinda scary from a theft standpoint

slide the 2 tabs up that are outlined in red in the pic, they will lift up about 1-1.5", but they don't come all the way out. Now the headlight will slide forward, unplug the bulb and it's out.
The corner is held in by 1 bolt from the top, in the corner close to where the outer tab is. Pull that 1 bolt and the corner will slide out, unplug the light and it's done too.

    Wiring....
the main lights (heads & turn/park) are plug n play, just plug the truck harness in and you're done. But the LEDs and halos have to be wired.
I have mine set up so that the halos come on with the park and headlights, and the LEDs come on with them too, but they flash with the turn signals and the halos don't.
So that's the wiring I'm gonna cover.

we have to make 3 connections on each side. All to the wires running to your turn signal/corner bulb.

First off, on the new headlight:
Tie all 3 red wires together to one spade lug.
Tie the 2 white wires together on one spade lug
The black wire gets it's own spade.

    On the truck:
Put 3 wire taps on the 3 wires going to the turn signal bulb.

Then plug your red wires on the headlight into the tap on the brown truck wire.
Your black headlight wire plugs into the tap on the white wire with a blue stripe on the truck.
Last, the white headlight wires connect to the tap on the trucks black wire.

    That's it!
Stick the lights into the holes, make sure you have the wire harness pushed back through the holes in the radiator support so that the light can fit in the hole, pushe them into place and push the 2 tabs back down (no bolt in the corner anymore).
    Aim them and you're done!

Holler at me if I missed anything or if something doesn't make sense.

Did you have to make any adjustments after the install? If so how?

Nice job. Send some pics to #356 to post in the headlight gallery.

Anyone know of projector style HIDs with orange reflectors and lines in the glass, very stock looking?

Hey Venom, i was interested in getting the same lights but heard people saying the visibility with those isnt that great. What is your opinion of the brightness of the halo lights compared to stock? thanks.

I love mine, I use my lights for catching rattlesnakes so I kinda depend on good lighting and I wouldn't trade these back for stockers with silverstars for anything.
a LOT brighter, but on low beam, you do get the standard projector/HID straight line cutoff across the top of the beam so you don't blind oncoming traffic. Same as the factory HIDs I had on my last car.
I guess that's what people are complaining about

I did take some time and make sure mine were adjusted right, if they aren't then I guess you could have some problems.
I dunno, to me, theyre one of my favorite mods to my truck.

after driving jpanchalk's truck at night with these, i gotta agree on the bad visibility opinions. the light just seems too concentrated in spots and cut off on the edges. was kind of funny pulling up to the shop garage door, the light pattern almost makes a batman style light symbol

not sure if they just werent installed totally correctly, but the fitment wasnt very great. big gaps on the corners and stuck out a bit. when i took them out to put his xenarcs in they seemed installed propery, but just not engineered very well

the halo thing around the headlights is pretty friggin cool though!!!

I dunno, I can't recall anyone complaining about any other than the ones on his truck
Maybe he got a bad set or they were a different manufacturer or something?

By thier nature, projectors are a bright, focused beam and you have to have the cutoff across the top to keep from blinding oncoming traffic. so yeah when you get close to something like a garage door, you see the 2 individual lights. But if theyre aimed properly, its fine on the road.

Here's mine pointed at my fence on low beam......

Don't get me wrong- you can tell from the pics, there IS some patterning in the beams, but its far from being a problem to me.
I have nothing to gain if you buy them or not, heck if anything, I'd prolly prefer ya didn't - makes my truck that much more unique I'm just tryin to give ya info.
I got mine off ebay for less than $200 I think the seller was performance depot or something like that, theyre in Fort Lauderdale, Fl I think.
Just be careful and make sure the ones you get have the LEDs if you want them. Fepony got a set of the black instead of chrome ones and they have the Halos and the dimples for the LEDs but didnt have the LEDs in them.
There's another post on here with pics of mine at night with the halos on and stuff, I'll try to find it.
