    Well, pretty disappointing weekend.

Pro Turbo Systems did everything they were supposed to in resolving the missing parts in the kit. They ensured the parts came overnight with Saturday delivery.

The downpipe was shipped to the coaters earlier in the week. They told the coater to ship the downpipe out overnight but failed to stress the "Saturday" delivery.

Hence, I've got no downpipe to complete the installation.

While we managed to wire up the efans using the wiring and relays from my LFP efan setup, that's pretty much all we accomplished.

Tried putting a gasket under the C&L plenum since I finally obtained a gasket and found my stock intake bolts. After that tried to run the bolts in and ended up having to drill the holes out of the C&L plenum so the intake would move enough to get the bolts in. The long bolt in the plenum, for some reason the washer was hitting the chrome plating when bolting it down. The washer was one that locked onto the bolt. So we had to grind that down so it wouldn't take out the pretty shine.

After fighting that and getting it bolted down, we found another issue where the EGR tube did not line up with the EGR when the intake was finally on (it was off by an 1"). So instead of messing with the tube which is hard to bend, I'm just going to get a phenolic spacer.

That pretty much just had us calling it quits for the weekend.
We will bust our humps when we get the downpipe and a phenolic spacer.

    Sorry to hear Phil..

Question, will Pro-Turbo be making changes to their kits, from any little issues you guys have run into, during the install?

Although small, for that kind of money, I want a bolt in and go type of kit.

Cant wait to see her finished!

Yeah, Pro Turbo has been very good about taking advice and has been very sympathetic to what we've encountered. For example, they are already starting to work on and complete better documentation, they modified the turbo inlet from the maf and will be including two ports for the IAC and driver's side PCV which normally connect to your intake elbow. For me, they custom made a Y to make it work. The downpipe should also not be an issue for anyone else now they know what danger there is in messing up on the jig.

I've got a high confidence that you guys won't have the problems I'm running into. Or at least, less problems than I ran into.

There are a few things I don't think they will include.
They give you wire to extend your O2 harness. I would rather have a plug and play solution so you can go back to stock (like the long tubes have).
The phenolic spacer, I don't think they will include although the kits needs it.
Earlier back you'll see where Jody made spacers for the intake bolts. They will probably recommend washers or cutting down bolts.
The wiring for the efans... they say follow directions for the fans. I used the LFP wiring and relays which are top notch.

Again, maybe since I went down this road, those who follow me on this kit, will benefit from the pics I sent and the solutions we came up with.

Put the truck up on a dyno machine, tune it, plug your ears, rev it til she howls and run over to the monitor to see how much hp at the wheels it makes.

Talk BS and hang out to see what other numbers everyone else's truck makes.
