Pro Turbo Systems Kit - Install

The plan for this weekend is to install the Pro Turbo Systems Gen 2 Lightning Kit, PI 2600 stall torque converter, and maybe finally put the JLP Ultra Cooler on my truck.

The KB, JLP upper plenum, Dynatech LTs, cats, Magnum Powers idler bracket are coming off and going to ACWALSH. This setup gave me 577 SAE rwhp, 594 STD rwhp.

I'm excited to test this out considering Frank5L's impressive stock block performance. If I get just a 50 rwhp gain boosting me to 625-650hp that would still be pretty good, but I'm eventually hoping for a 700-something number without nitrous.

I'll try to take some pics for you guys and post em up as we have progress.

Good, bad, or otherwise, I'll let you know how the turbo works out for me.

The nitrous is in there... its installed... not planning to pull it out.
Yep, I have a purge that exits at the cowl. I'll probably only limit the shot to a 75 shot and save it for track days.

    Air>

With your tuning abilities I am thinking around 850 RWHP after its all said and done~

The 1st gen built blocks we have from JLP are good for 900 hp, right?

Yep, the tranny is a Level 10 tranny from JLP and the converter is also from JLP. I drove an L with the higher stall and you couldn't detect any issue with drivability. I'm hoping that it will be the same with the added weight of the HD and it will help the turbo spool a little faster off the line.

Tuning, we'll see... I'm getting the hang of it slowly.
Lately, been taking advantage of tuners heading out to my area to help slingshot my progress a bit. But definitely will be tuning myself for the long haul.

I think the JLP block should be good for 750 hp at least.
I don't remember what rods are in there.
But, if she's got 850-900 hp in her, then I'll try to get it.
    Might take a while. LOL.

    Laugh ?

I was told Manley rods and CP pistons were used in the 1st built blocks johnny sold...Then he switched things around to make the motors a little more stout! I think we both have the original built blocks> I have 40K on mine now~
