sent PMs not in inbox anymore???

I no longer get copies of my PMs in my mailbox. Has something changed? Have I mistakenly changed anything?? If this is a new feature it kinda sucks as I can no track what I have previously told people.

    Thanks

I have previously sent messages, however, no new messages as of say 11/23/2005. This is really an issue bc trying to remember dozens of messages is just ridiculous. If there is no new server problem, but rather this is the new way things get done around here I will be disappointed. I am not trying to be an assss but what is the point of not keeping copies of sent messages?

I guess I will be using my email for now to communicate with people.

hmmmmm........i have always gotten the copy sent to my sent folder and have not changed anything and now it does not save a copy. Let me recheck it, although I did that earlier. Also, I just sent you a reply and it did not save a copy.

Another member, BGSTEW6, also does not get the copy sent to his folder. I asked him earlier today as I thought it could have been something I did.

    Thanks
    Chris

BTW the server is kicking arse. Really fast. (fingers crossed)

ok I found that the box was in fact unchecked. However, I had not unchecked it before and it always remained checked.

Has something changed that makes this uncheck everytime??? I guess its not a big deal now that I know what is going on, but it would be nice to have it automatically save like before.

    Thanks again,
    Chris

    Exclamation

    Hello Chris and all,

We removed the automatic checks, as it just fills up peoples PM count, and then they can't receive PM. The max messages that can be in your PM system is 200. All messages, saved, received, tracked, etc. count toward that 200. Many people do not clean out their PM boxes and then contact us that their PM does not work...many complaints/week. So a decision was made to turn off the auto checks and save ourselves some grief. This will not stop people from filling their PM, but rather delay it. It is obvious that many cannot read or do not understand how to clean out their PM? This is the link to cleaning out PM boxes:
    http://www.nhtoc.com/vbforum/showthr...threadid=15602

Many boards do not allow PM anymore for that reason. We have continued to allow PM, but are trying to reduce the "hassle".

If you want a message saved or tracked, you must check the box.

    ...Dwight...

    Dwight,

I guess it is too late but could that have been an option for people in the user control panel, user options???? I guess I can deal with it however. It was just something I liked to have before as I normally clean my mailbox regularly and this new way takes more time.

    Thanks
