Roof shingles finished today...
Got my forms up for the slab. Just have to put up a few more braces.. drill batteries went dead on me. All that is left to do is drill some holes for the rebar, lay the rebar and place the PVC pipes. Hopefully I can get that done on Thursday and have the concrete poured on Friday.
Received a call last week from the building company and they have all the materials for the garage. They're just waiting on me now.
Roof, side entry door and Siding finished.. dirt bike track still there.
Slab, gutters, and hanging of garage doors after holiday.
Looks good man. I've been outside all day working on laying rebar, going over the frame once more and installing the plumbing. Tomorrow morning we pour the concrete and tend to it for the next few days and then we just got to let cure.Originally posted by Krix330cic(NJ)

I'm beat!! Poured the concrete today. We almost had a problem. We estimated 9 yards of concrete and it came out to 10 yards. The truck holds 10 yards and they mix as they pour. We actually were short by a little bit, but after screeting one side, we brought over the extra to the other side and it worked it perfectly.
Here is a pic from yesterday after fnishing up the hole drilling and rebar laying:
And here is how it looked when we left today:
Now ya talking...looks great
only thing that sucks is the damn wind blow some tiny mesquite leaves while it was still wet. So now I got about a hundred little leaf impressions.. very small of course, but stil sucks. Oh well.. the weather was beautiful otherwise. Went out today to check on it and it looks pretty good.
Final picture of the slab with forms removed and old slab hosed off.
Today they started putting up the shop. Not much was done today, but laying the base rails and measuring, but tomorrow I hope to see some significant progress!!
Making progress. After some delay because of the high wind we had, I went out and saw they put up some of the trusses.

I have a three car attached, and back when I had the Harley truck of course it stayed in the garage, I quickly found out that open shelves are a disaster waiting to happen, one of my knucklehead kids grabbed something off the shelf and something else came tumbling down.... right into the drivers side door, which left a nice dent.
Well now that the truck is gone, I finally got around to making some cabinets to store stuff in, it was actually pretty easy, and the cost wasnt too bad. I paid $2 each for the doors at a local surplus store, the rest is plywood. Paint it all up and Im good to go!
Ill take some pics tomorrow
oh BTW, I am also going to replace my 25 year old Kennedy box with this...
I know its an import, but for home use it should be ok, and the price is around $850 shipped
