40' x 30' shop in progress (pic update 10 Dec)

Well I ordered my garage/shop package yesterday. 40' X 30' A frame metal building with a 10' roll up door and an 18' panel door. Rented a bobcat on the weekend and cleared the topsoil on both sides of my slab (my current slab is 22' X 40' so I'm extending the slab on both sides by 4'). Friday I should have the gravel delivered and then hopefully if the weather is good I'll have the framing, rebar and PVC pipes in place (PVC pipes for the bathroom and sink). I'm hoping to have the shop built by the end of Dec or beginning of Jan. It's out at my ranch, where we will eventually build our house, but for now we are just going to use it for storage and for the jet skis. We had an old barn there before, but it was falling apart so we tore it down.

Here is a picture of the barn in progress of being torn down:

Here's what it looked like once we got most of the barn disassembled:

    ETCH, gonna be nice.

Guys are actually outside right now finishing all the block work for our 30' x 42' that we are building. Regular detached garage though, not metal.

Awesome. Take some progress pics. We thought about wood, but decided metal would be better for what we want and we got a great price too.

The building, including the roll-up door, panel door, walk in door and 2 windows, and installation cost me $8000. That doesn't include the slab.

the house I'm moving into just outside Abilene has a 30x40 with a 12' high door, a storage loft, bathroom and all the goodies along with a 40 wide carport down the side with both ends enclosed!
That building was a big part of the reason I bought the house!
These are the pics from when we went and looked at the house.
I took more of the shop than I did the house

Very nice Venom!! We plan on adding a car port on the back side of the building later. We'll have a bathroom in the shop and a hydraulic lift, fridge, lots of lighting, etc.

Surprisingly, my wife was a big part of the decision to build the shop now. Eventually we'll be building our house next to the shop and it will have a 3 car garage so all of our vehicles will finally have a place inside. As it is now, our two trucks have to be parked outside.

    That'll work!
good to have the wife on board for the project!

as we all know, you just cant ever have too many garage bays!
I'm hoping to have a lift in that one reasonably soon after I move in
There's also a 2 car on the house and another 3 cars worth of carport and another stand alone single car
