    Well She blew

    Yep driving home after some Christmas Party. Past a guy @ about 90 and thought I saw a little too much smoke. Down the road another couple mile and some clown in a suburban gave me a run. Hammered her up to 120 and she blew. Heard a tink and tons of smoke all over the place. Smells of oil and a lot of wetness on the shoulder. Don't have the heart to look under the hood.

    That 8# has been on there for 35K. Gave me a lot of good times. Time to move on and build her better than before.

    Guess I won't be doing the Christmas Party @ 2 tones Office on Sunday. If you guys want we can have a tear down party. Oooooooooohhhh raaaaaaa....

    how cold is it over there??? 90 and 120 blasts arent the best idea on an 8 with cold weather.

    91 octane crap gas and high speed blasts. Not good.

    Sorry for your loss.
    Makes my stomach churn.

    At least its an excuse to get a built lower!
    Little consolation I know. You'll be happier when you get it running again. Invest in a alchy kit. Built motors can go boom under detonation too.

    Looking good. That guy has an almost new '04 L motor complete.

    I lined up a truck to pick it up just need a picker now.

    Looks like it could happen tomorrow.

    The Christmas Party has been moved to my driveway.

    Hey Josh- I was running 14lbs. The tune was pretty rich and I had just converted all my intake back to stock so I am guessing it was running even richer. The weather temp at the time was about 55-60 so I don't think it was much of a factor. I am guessing I had crap gas and she was just at the end of a tough life. Truck has 55K on it right now.
