Hey everyone one of our own needs some help in Orlando...

Grimreefer is stationed in Cali right now & is trying to buy my topper for his DSG truck. We have the shipping part covered. BUT we are having an issue getting the thing off the delivery truck & on his truck... His wife obviously cannot do it herself.. LOL

tentatively looking like 3 weeks from now the truck will arrive in Titusville (orlando metro). the date can be flexed to meet our needs for man power.

What I am wondering is if we can orchestrate an evening or a weekend day where 3-4 guys can help get this topper installed.

I think the delivery team can get the top off the truck & on saw horses.

I'm open to work out beverages & some pizza or what it might take..

Just trying to help a Fellow HD brotha & Military service man out.

    thanks to the brother/sisterhood.

If it is before the 23rd of Jan I would be up to help. I go in for shoulder surgery on the 23rd and wouldnt be able to help at least for a couple of weeks (maybe longer). I tore a tendon during physical therapy after the last surgery in Jun and have to get it done again.

Let me know where and when. I will be there, Titusville is only 25 minutes or so from my house.

Adam I am not at all familar with Orlando & the vacinity... how afr is titusville from Orlando?

Anyone work @ a shop or a company with a dock? that might be just the ticket.. ship it to Otown & have her roll up to put it on... literally it is 2 c-clamps & the top cannot be put on wrong. it is molded to fit pretty much one way & only one way.

Thanks guys... any help would be great...

Wow, didn't see this earlier. You guys are the greatest.

Couple things though... Sorry if there was any confusion, but I'm not in the military. I'm a merchant mariner (civilian) who works on U.S. Navy ships as an engineer.

If the delivery guys can deliver it to the house and offload it, the wife and I were going to put it in the garage until I get home in a few months. The Cobra is being trucked out to California so we'll have plenty of room.

This could work too though, and I could cover any costs. I still haven't found a business that is willing to recieve it due to liability issues.

    Thanks a lot guys.

You got my number if need be. That should be a two man job. The install is easy but I will show if need be. I have not seen my boy Adam for a while so it would be no problem. Maybe a Disney trip for the family. I am in Clearwater and you can ship to my business. We can install it here and I have a loading dock, tools and all that good stuff. Its up to you. PM me and I will set it up if this is OK. Either way that would not be a problem.

'reefer... my bust I misunderstood... I thought you were "in"... oh well...

Adam, A local moving company has a reg routeto orlando. but we are not locked into just them... wide open as long as the cost is in check.

adam.. PM me some phine #'s so I can make some calls or I will give you my cell... the dimensions are 6'6" long, 5'6" wide & 2'3" tall.. including the frame work.

So basically if we ahve 2-3 sets of hands when the truck rolls in, then we can have it set on saw horses.

its really at least a 3 person gig... two to do the work & one to guide.

    Adam, pm me...

My mechanic told my wife they'll accept shipment to their shop. They have enough guys there to move it around and said they'd install it for her. I'll PM you with the details.
