No. But thanks. I've got my eye on something else. Appreciate the offer...Originally posted by jotay21
I don't suppose that you would be interested in trading for a 2004 Volvo S60 R model with 13,000 miles on it, would you?

Dan.....I am truely interested in that truck and have even okayed it with the wife but I am having some issues here. First, I need to find the time to visit my banker and second I need to figure out a way to get it from NJ to Houston.
Dan, is the truck in perfect running order? Is there anything wrong with the truck that I need to know about before purchasing it? Also, is there any reason that this truck couldn't potentially be a daily driver (dependent) because it is a built truck?
Thanks brother.......I just want persue this without any worries or problems.

First, thanks for the interest. Shipping it would cost about a grand if you wanted to go that route. It's in perfect running order and I drive it everyday. I bought it with 18,xxx miles (drove it home to NJ from NC) and it's now just under 30,000. I've changed the oil/filter 3 times since owning it (Mobil I), changed the fuel filter last oil change, put in a new S&B air filter element and put in NGK TR6s about 3 weeks ago. I also have a set of Autolite AR94s which I bought because that's what was in there but I decided to give the NGKs a shot. It's been averaging 13.7 MPG and I run a combo of about 60 / 40 city/highway miles. I have not had it to the track. I know the previous owner drove it the way it was built for and made a good number of passes. That didn't deter me because, hell, that's what it was 'built' for.Originally posted by SUX2BU

The built motor was put in when the truck had 8,000 miles (I believe it was right around there) so it's got at least 20k on it. With the stock heads and cams, it sounds and has stock-like street manners. Louder of course because of the exhaust. But that's all out the window once you hit the go pedal. I have pretty much all of the receipts for it and the other OEM parts.
Cosmetically, the back bumper has a dent and a scratch from being backed into a boat trailer. No, I didn't do it. (cough) Tucker did it (cough) I was supposed to get a rollpan for Christmas but my wife didn't know exactly which one to get. I was looking at the Street Scenes one for $198 until I decided to buy the new car and sell the truck. Structurely, the bumper is fine. I can take close ups and send if you'd like. And I would be willing to knock off a couple bucks because of the dent.
If you're seriously considering it, shoot me an email and we'll chat offline.
Thanks,
Dan
Picked up my new car on Saturday. Now the truck will be detailed as soon as the temps go back up. It will then remain parked in my garage until the new owner takes it away. Mileage now is 29,xxx (close to 30).
Some pics of the new ride iffin' 'yer interested.
