    How do you remove????

My wife never drives my truck. About 4 months ago now I had the drivers side rear seat down and the head rest removed. She comes home after being out with her family and tells me that she had a really hard time getting the head rest in for her sister. I go outside and see that she had put the head rest in backwards and now has it stuck. I ask her if she knew that she was putting it in wrong and she says, " Well no wonder I had such a hard time getting it in. I was hitting it and everything and it just wouldn't go." So now I have a stuck head rest and can't get it out. ANY ADVISE?????

I've put them in backwards before. It should come out with no problems. If she hammered it home. It may have damaged something..

if its on backwards, its gonna be a b1tch to get off, cuz the side with the notches is in the hole without the button/latch and the side without notches is mashed into the side with the latch so its a supertight fit.
Hold the button and you just have to pull reallllly hard to get it back out cuz the latch is wedging it in.

Don't ask me how I know this.......

If looking at the rear seat in question, the metal piece that was stuck was the one closest to the center console. I tired everything i could think of and then noticed that if I pulled the leather down from around the female end that there was a black cap that covered the female piece. I used a small flat head screw driver and popped it off. Once it was off there was a metal spring loaded clip. I pushed it in and out it came. A whole lot easier than I thought it would be. I had tried clamping a pair of channel locks and then banging it with a hammer to get it out and that didn;t work so I posted the HELP.
