How 2 Remove dried wax on plastic parts?

damnit, i noticed i got a few little streaks under the door windows, and also the bed rails..

i was told to try peanut butter, as the oil will lift it out, then just wash it off....... creamy, not nutty or extra chunky..

Plan A, 3M Wax and Grease Remover wont hurt most plastics but try a sample in a hidden spot to be safe.
Plan B, Windex! The Amonia in this stuff takes wax off quick! Keep it off the paint if you can.

armoral isn't good for trim and tires and dashboards, it can dry the plastic out.

anyway, Peanut butter will hide the wax for about a month, but then it will show up again. The oils in the PB hide the wax residue. Just get a tiny bit of creamy PB and rub it into the trim, then buff it off. It shouldn't streak when it gets wet like if you would use vinylex or a tireshine or something like that.

Or the best way, get a stiff cutoff brush and like windex if needed, and get all the wax out for good.

Just whatever you do, don't use Mothers back to black ;t

you guys don't think it'll work? go try it. the oils in the peanut butter makes the white residue go away. It eventually wears off and the white appears again, but it'll hide it for about a month.

The best way though is just like some concentrated dawn dish soap and a short bristle brush or a tooth brush. just dont get the dawn all over, because it'll strip you wax

it may work but all im saying is that you shouldn't use PB on your truck thats retarted. you don't have to go to the kitchen to get food to smear all over your truck just get a rag and some armor all or something like it and spay alot on the spot and rub it in and its gone for good and it woun't come back later on and you don't have to worry about animals trying to eat your trim

peanut butter is oily also, its the peanut oil that makes the trim turn black again. When you wipe the little bit of PB off the truck, the trim doesn't even smell like PB, so you don't need to worry about attracting any animals.

I forget exactly why it is, but armoral dries out plastics, and can do more harm than good.
if you want a good plastic protectant go with something like a vinylex or 303 Aerospace
