Blue: I would take pics of EVERYTHING and keep them in a folder w/ receipts incase you get jacked.. I had receipts for everything in my truck last time but no pics and i went through hell trying to get $$ back from the insurance. Better safe than sorry...

Thanks. I have already been to the agents office and he has seen it in person with extra funds to cover the extras. Unbelievable. I shop everything well and the chances of me replacing everything for what I have in it is slim. And I really do not want to install it all again. It is getting hot here soon.

I need to install my eclipse 5435 in my truck but I'm waiting to get an alarm.
If you don't already have one, get an alarm witha visible LED...it may not prevent the break-in but it may deter some and make them think twice.
I've already been broken into twice since last August (once in my old f-150 and once in the HD) and both times were during the day. the kicker is i've lived in detroit and D.C. and never had my ride messed with.
Ford need to do something to make them a bit tougher to get into. All you have to do is pop outthe door handle and you are in...my '01 go hit while at a concert.

Why is this unit so cheap? My IVA-D300 retails for like $1500 (now it is the D301). Did Alpine take away a lot of functionality? I know this is DD and all, but just seems really cheap for an indash screen unit.
FYI - BLUE you can go on eBay and get a Blackbox to mimic the parking brake and foot brake sequence so you can ride and watch. Got mine shipped to my door for like $30. Simple install...
there is not a whole lot of functionality. However, it did what I wanted it to. Fill the whole hole (without the ugly pocket) and didn't have a screen that flipped up. It wasn't a Jensen, and I didn't have to buy the Nav. with it. I can upgrade with options as I can afford it and make it better than all of the others without having to spend $2000 now. I already have the box, I was just waiting for it to come in. took a week with shipping. The picture is awesome! Just wish it had 5V outs. I can work around everything else. I don'tthink that would have added too much to the cost and it would have been worth it.

Did you get the TV tuner. Because I did on my but I get bad reception and static sound some times when my tuner is on. Is that normal.
