Can anyone confirm which bolts are TTY? I asked on a parts website and they told me 8 bolts the bolt the supercharger down and 11 bolts for the IC. Attached is the diagram they sent. I circled the bolts and gaskets.

I know some might say you dont HAVE to replace the bolts, but I have had this truck for 8 yrs and its never been done so I would like to do it right.

I did mine after having the beast 10 years. didn't replace any bolts or gaskets. 2 years later working fine
don't think I did it wrong, but if you desire to change the bolts- go for it. It's your ride

If you need the long bolts to hold the blower that don't hold the brackets you can get a 4 pk foe about $20

OK, i just removed everything and it was really bad. Definitely has not been cleaned in 12 yrs/ 130,000 miles. I sprayed everything with green brake cleaner as stating in one of these how to's.

Well, I noticed the the supercharger rotors coating is peeling off now. I thought the green cleaner would not do that. What do I do now???

I read somewhere on here the some people strip the coating off, but how do i get it all off and will it effect anything?

Keep stripping the rotors. If you don't they will flake and can damage the rotor pack.

I usually wipe the rotors by hand with a mild detergant/degreaser. Soak the IC in coil kleener, spray the case In brake cleaner. Check and remove anything in the case bearings, grease them and reinstall the pack. Stand the blower up vertical, apply black gasket maker, let it tack up, add oil (6oz), install snout, bolt it down and done

As far as the TTY bolts, its only the ones that bolt the IC to the midplate. There is no need to seperate the two for cleaning. So if you dont, you dont need to replace those. The main supercharger bolts, and gaskets are fine to reuse.
