Ok dumb question-> This is going to be hidden inside the existing console correct?

I just can't see it fitting in there I guess... That's why I'm banking on the install pics!

There is alot of room in there if you remove the inside bucket. It comes apart in two pieces, outside shell and inside structure. Hope that helps.

I understand now.. I wasn't sure how the console came apart, now it makes sense. Thanks

    ********instasll Pics**********

Ok, these are the first fitup pics. This is the mule. I took pics to show you how it fits together and a basic look at it.

Pic1 The rear dogear positioner I talked about.

    Pic 2 The front legs.

Pic 3. The box as it sits.

Pic 4. The box with the console over it. The small holes in the corner is where the extened length bolts will come thru to secure it to the floor using the existing holes in the console cover and nuts and washers to secure it.

Pic 5. With the cover on the box.

Pic 6. With the trim ring.

Well it's official, I am going to be the first owner of the Fepony (and his friend?) Stealthbox. Im really excited for it! Seeing the pics of it installed has got me set.

Fepony, The sub I am going to be putting in is going to fire upward. I know you said it could be either, but just wanted to double-check that this would workout ok. Does the box just flip over in order to be an upward firing box? Or do you have to make the box a certain shape to fit and therefore have to add an enclosed bottom and open top instead? Hope Im not asking too many questions lol, I'm a very inquisitive person. Plus Im really excited about the setup Im gonna have, Plus wanted to make sure if you had to make it a certain way you knew which one to do.. if you needed to know now. eek Im excited.

That is why I decided to make it so the tops and bottoms are removeable. I still have a final fitting of the console lid mount setup. This should be done this weekend and the final assy. of them completed and ready to ship next week. I have 6 unsold boxes at this time. When they are gone, I might do more if I get enough interest. So far the committed buyers are

In order to make it upfire all I do is make a hole on the top so the speaker will just drop down inside. This will leave the speaker visible when the console lid is open. The bottom will NOT have a hole in it, it will be solid. The holes for the speakers are cut to order. If you want downfire I cut the bottom, if you want upfire I cut the top. If you aren't sure of size or direction I can ship uncut.

So apparently the sub that I wanted isn't of good quality.. so It will most likely be a down firing sub now. Arg.

What is a good 10" sub company? I was looking at Dual, but heard they weren't quality? Any opinions?

Also, for an amp I was either getting an MTX or Audiobahn.. any opinions there? Or any better suggestions? TIA.

This crapola is so confusing lol
