    '02 $20.00 Lower Grill

First there was the J-Jent then the Venom Mod, now here is my new lower. I wanted something different so I bought four pieces of "1/2 X 3' aluminum tubing at Lowes for $4 each and then made some brackets from "1 X "1 angle aluminum I had. The hardest part was polishing the bars.

You should trim the edges. It would look better if you had more even angles on the outside edges. I would trim more off the 2nd & 3rd bar to even the slope, or the 2nd and 4th to slope out and back in.

Thanks for the comments, it is a work in progress. I was thinking of shaping it some more. Will post when I think it is finished.

That aluminum tubing makes great amp anchors/extenders as well (for uneven surfaces).

That looks real good. I haven't seen a j-jent grill in person, but that looks exactly like in the picture.

Nice work. I have to say that the Venom mod was much easier. Personal opinion is that the 4 bars looks too busy, I think 3 would look better.

looks good. gotta love DIY mods!

and typically the 00-02 style valance uses 4 bars and matches the gap for the upper grille pretty well. the 03's have smaller valance openings and j-jent does those up as 3 bars

Not the best of pics since it was taken with my camera phone but it gets the idea across. I still think 3 bars works better than 4. Just my personal opinion.

My grille is broken and I am interested in the "3 bar grille". Where can I buy one of these? Does my original black plastic grille have to used for this application?

I think he either did the Venom grille mod or fabed the bars up himself similar to dynadave
