    Mark,

the best person to speak to is Adam. he has converted his side repeaters in the mirrors to amber (see thread in this room). Also he is a bit of a electrics whizz and I am sure he can guide you through it.
Adam has also fitted fog and reverse lights which look much better than having the caravan style lights under the rear bumper.

Its not too difficult I am sure. Adam is in the Us but will be back next week and I am sure he will answer this thread.
    If not then PM him.

    All the best

    KevF

I fully understand what you mean it can be daunting but no worse that me cutting in to the back of the leather seats in mine to fit 7" screens lol kinda pooped myself with that one, it really isn't that hard I will take a look see at mine when I get off this darn night shift for the colour wire to the indicators, but I thought the dealer would have done all of this before selling it to you when is the MOT due?

    Kerry here

The dealer isnt an American vehicle specialist and this was their first attempt at selling a US vehicle so they are as green as we are, which hasn't helped. The MOT's not due till Feb so we have time yet but wanna do it asap.

Mark's just a little nervous and we're both annoyed that we didn't spot it sooner. It was our local garage (not the dealer) that pointed it out to us when we went to show um yesterday after we picked it up. But even they argued between them as to what the regs were (which made me laugh).

Despite the few issues, it still made us both smile yesterday when we collected it and of course Mark couldn't resist taking it to work today instead of going in his Skoda ;-) I've not driven it yet but can't wait.

Look forward to anymore hints, tips anyone can give us and appreciate all the input so far.

here's the link to where Adam converted his side markers to orange to comply with your funky UK regulations...j/k

    http://www.nhtoc.com/vbforum/showthread.php?t=28001

another option would be to go back to the dealer and require them to fix it on their dime because they just sold you a personal use vehicle that doesnt comply with UK law.

    good luck. she looks good!

Congrats with the "new" truck. If I may say so, that is a very sharp looking 2-tone. Looks like the previous owner got a hold of some overlays for the front badge.

well guys mark @ the keys

the dealer is gonna pay for the lighting changes etc, gonna take it to a place what a friend told me about (he imports them and get them done there)

gonna get him to not fit the side repeaters for the turn sinals but to put the wiring in ready and i can fit my own

for etc 50 greens will put in the wiring fot a trailer hitch,

    so is that worth it??

also does anybody know costing of the trailer hitch etc??

btw thanks for all your help guys

i don't pull a trailer so I may not be accurate with my answer (someone who does will come along), but I think all 03s are already pre-wired for a trailer (they may not have the hitch but the wiring should be there).

the trailer hitch (assuming class 3 hitch which bolts up to the frame) runs anywhere from $100-300 for the part depending on brand. not sure how much to install as mine was outfitted from the factory.

Hey Gang, sorry for the delay getting back into the thread.
I'm still in the USA but flying home tonight.
If you can wait till the weekend, I can post a thread with full info on how to get through the MOT with wiring diagrams, pictures, part numbers and also how to keep it stock looking.
Actually, I'll do a write up and ask Hemi to post it as a sticky for all the UK peeps.

No, not yet. I have taken all the photographs but need to sit down and crunch it all together when I can get an hour alone on the computer without the kids bugging me to log onto myspace
