Unhappy Need a Mechanic - West Palm area

Well, I blew a spark plug out. I repaired the plug and coild but I still have a miss. I need some advice on a decent mechanic in the Palm Beach area that can diagnose what the problem is. Any takers, advice?

Appreciate the info. A little too far to go and their 'tude' has left a bad taste in my mouth.

Firemedix, any chance you can call him and get a ballpark figure for replacing the heads. I will get the heads. I just need a labor charge.

No, I had to get a new coil because the boot was torn up and the mounting ear was bent. I even tried putting the new boot on the old coil to try anything. I have a boroscope that I will look inside with tonight and I might have a lead on a Ford mechanic that has an analyzer at his house and he only lives 3-4 miles from mine. I hat driving it. When it gets to 3rd gear it starts to shudder as the rpms drop.

Well, miracles do happen. I was putting the plug back in after using the boroscope and I was inspecting it to see if the tip gap had changed like the one that blew out and lo and behold on the backside near the electrode was a fine bridge of metal that was really hard to get off. It may have been one of the little filings from the taping procedure for the coil. Everything is back to normal. Thanks everyone for your help and thoughts. I learn something every day from you all.

    Cool

Yeah Kurt. When you going to let the cat out of the bag?...did you get it with all the goodies too or did the original owner strip it back down? You probably got some nice tires!

after the ported blower and piston rod kit, i see twins in my future. this is a super secret spy photo of a members ride to which i am sworn to secrecy! Lets just say after 867 hp @ the wheels with minimal tuning i am sure twins are the way to go!
