Hello all, found this site by accident, and perhaps a little too late - am moving from Harley to 'Hardly' Davidson (hopefully temporarily coz I've just seen the paint job on the new 250!). I've got to sell my 06 F150 4x4 which I imported in April (sobs). I seem to be in a bit of a niche market though - presumably I'm going to lose a ton of cash on it but, any advice on the best mags to advertise in here in the UK?

Hi Stu. Welcome to the NHTOC and the UK section.

Hmmm, selling the 06. All the usual places apply. Ebay, Autotrader, Classic American and American Car World magazine are a few that come to mind.
Your best bet if you want to shift the 06 for an HD might be to arrange a swap or trade against another with a dealer.

Whatever the outcome, best of luck and keep us informed of progress.

Best of luck with selling the truck, I am considering a 4x4
f150 to replace my works Nissan 4x4 but unfortunately I do not want to swop for about another year, still paying for the 2003 HD at the moment.

Can you tell me what fuel consumption you get from the
4x4 on average.

Hi Ian, Sure - the fuel consumption's getting much better now as I've put 6k miles on the clock.
on a run the guage shows 17/18 mpg but that's US gallons so figure on around 20.5 UK mpg and that's at 80mph, (I think a UK gallon is about 1.2 US gallons right?) around town I'm showing about 12/13 USmpg so probably about 14.5 UK mpg. Have to say though, consumption's pretty good for a permanent 4wd 5.4 litre - I am pretty heavy with the right foot. Reckon if I stuck to 70 I'd probably get 23 ish mpg. gutted to be selling so soon. S
