    Euro SVT Meet 2007 - Update 7/12/2006

I just heard from Crazy Andre thet the Euro SVT Meet in 2007 will be on the weekend of 26-27th May in Hannover, Germany.

All Ford Lightnings, Harley Davidson and SVT Mustangs are welcome.

There will be cars and trucks from Gemany, Switzerland, Denmark, Sweden and Italy.
Lets try and get together a good few from the UK.

This is a "Must Do" event. Andre and his family are the perfect party hosts and you get the chance to do see and do this......

Link to Andre's own site with pictures and video of previous events www.svtmeet.com

Last year, we went on the Stena overnight ferry from Harwich to the Hook of Holland which got us into Holland for the Friday morning. That gives you all day for a blast through Holland and Germany to Hannover.

Lots of time to plan ahead for this one. Go to Andre's website www.svtmeet.com for booking details, maps, accomodation and the schedule.
You will also find video and more pictures from the previous years event.

You really shouldn't miss this event.

    Who's in?

The ferry from Harwich (return) if you book now is £146.
The later you book, the more expensive it becomes but this will only apply if you try and do it the week before you leave.

Accomodation there was very reasonable. We stayed at a place called the Tennis Centre which is on the same road that Andre lives and holds the meeting. He arranged a good deal on the rooms, something like £30 per night.
It's not flash but it's clean and you get a good breakfast. We didn't spend much time in the room to be honest. Too busy partying.

It's approx 250 miles from the ferry to Andre's place nr Hannover.
That's a 500 mile round trip + whatever it takes to get from your home and back for Harwich.
Also, we do cruise/race a bit once there so count on anothe 50 miles or so.

I suppose I did 750 miles in total for the trip last year and I averaged 18 mpg so account for a couple of hundred in fuel.

Then, finaly, it's 20 Euro's to attend. That covers your BBQ and beer for the Saturday night party. The rest is up to you.

All in all, I reckon you are looking at £500 for a long weekend.
That does sound a bit pricey but it's money well spent IMO for the fun factor.

    What? HD parts?

Andre dabbles a bit in Lightning stuff. I think he has a deal with Amazon Racing.
If you wanted something specific I'm sure he could get it but it wouldn't be any cheaper that the UK.

    Hi Adam,

Please reduce the pictures in your first post to 640 x 480 or less. The photos are too big and take forever to download on my fast connection. It must be a real pain for those with a slower connection.

    Thanks,

    ...Dwight...

The date of the Euro SVT meet has now changed to the weekend of the 26/27th of May 2007.

The reason for this change is to coincide with a major car show that is taking place in Hannover on the Saturday 26th.
Hosted by Radio21 (a Hannover Rock station), there will be cars on display, music and a stunt show. They want us to partake in a special part of the show. Details to follow but no doubt the opportunity to misbehave in front of thousands of wildly cheering locals.
This is all on top of Andre's show & shine, photo session with the models, Thunder through Hannover cruise, Autobahn Frenzy and BBQ/Party with free beer, food and DJ.

If you have a Lightning, HD or SVT Mustang, you have to attend.

There will even be attendees from the USA at this meet so no excuses about the distance.

Details and registration for the event can be found at www.svtmeet.com

Welcome aboard to the NHTOC and the UK section.
This is the Number 1 forum if you are an F150 HD owner.
There's a great bunch of guys here and there's always someone to answer your questions.
It would be great if you could make it to The Euro Meet.
I believe there is still a ferry from Newcastle to Imujden in Holland and from there, it's not too far.

Also, you might want to check out www.rebel-v8.com in the UK.
It's an all makes forum and kinda anything goes but we have about half a dozen Lightnings and 4 HD's on there.
We have regular get togethers and race together etc.
