Looking for insight on dbl din hu's

I've been checking into JVC's new EXAD double din hu as well as Alpine and Kenwood.
What I want is something that can 2-3 zone, play mpe, dvd, dvdrw, etc etc, work with iPOD, set up with navigation, touch screen 6.5" monitor minimum.

    Any other suggestions???

I've got the Alpine IVA-W200 and for the F150 it has been a nightmare. The shop I took it to screwed the pooch on the install. I'm not sure if this is because they have never done it before or not but it goes back next week.

Since the double din's are becoming more popular and cheaper to obtain, it would be nice to compile the info. for us on here. I researched a ton on here and elsewhere about this particular unit and some have said it was a breeze to put in but I don't see how. I wanted mine to not stick out of the dash so this is where the biggest issue is coming from.

Kenwood. More features, less bucks and has multi-zones that you are looking for.

Well...I have the IVAD 901 which is not longer available....and also a W200 which is touch screen. I dont have any problems like the guy above stated but I do not like it as much as the 901. These 2 will do anything you want, it just costs money. I think they are just of much better quality than the others available.

I love having the alpine w200, the pulse touch rocks and the ease of use of the HU itself. I think the biggest problem is that the installer screwed up and not wanting to take own up to it. My truck goes back to the shop on monday for them to pull it all back out and move the amps and re-install the HU.

It would be nice if we could get everybody that has a double din HU to post pictures and a quick review of it.

    Thumbs up

Kenwood ....their units rock and do all of the stuff you want and more like TV, rear camera and Sirius too. Some trimming is required to get it to fit our opening perfectly but it only takes 10 mins with a dremel tool. Look up the Kenwood Excelon DDX-8019 model...then compare prices..you'll be surprised.

All great information and pictures are a big help!

Thank you all very much for your input and suggestions, I still would like to hear some more about the Kenwoods, Aplines and the new Pioneer 7"
The unit I would be replacing is a Pioneer and I've enjoyed it so far and it's quality. It's the flip out 7" and has great picture quality and allows for me to run the rear monitors and use my PS2.

My eclipse AVN6600 has dual-DVD drives, so I can watch a movie up front, and people can watch somthing different on the rear monitors. Can hook up my 360, iPod, back-up cameras, etc. It's a pretty solid HU.
