yea i saw that. I considered getting one but my tuner said don't need it.
To get the full potential of it can cost upwards of 1200 bucks i've been told.

I think I will just stick with my xcal II, the livewire by itself is a good chunk of change. There is no way it can be worth 1200 for what it does compared to what most of us have.

    1200 seems a bit high.

have you looked at RWTD's deal he's got going on now?
    http://rwtd.com/detail.aspx?ID=66

$569 then with the trade in of an xcalII thats $175 off and 6 months of free tuning included in that price. so for about $400 bucks you should be set to go. I dont see where that cost can triple to get the full capabilities out of it. maybe if you want to do your own tuning and get the SCT Pro Racer Package 3.0, but for the tuning capibility of it, since most get tuned by a professional tuner anyway, along with all the OBDII functions and parameters it can monitor and display, its pretty capible right off the bat IMO.

But how much more is it able to do than the xcal II? I know it has several other feature but is it really worth the upgrade for the average joe.

That's what I'd like to know. Currently I don't have a tuning device so, I'm "up in the air" as to whether I should buy the XCAL II or the Live Wire.
I do have the full Auto Tap suite for datalogging.
I pm'd James but haven't heard anything back yet.

unless your primarily interested in the other features i wouldnt necessarily jump for it. but i dont think its all too bad for the price.

figure those OBDII gauges that just came out are going for around 250, and the livewire can monitor all the functions as the OBDII gauge, datalog, etc. and a lot more.
