[QUOTE=Sampsue. Maybe a stupid question, but how do you balance an adapter? Now the adapters are hub centric bolted to the hub with 14 x 1.5 60 degree beveled open ended lugnuts and the rims are hubcentric on the adapters with very large open ended washered nuts. The couple of times I've dismounted my rims and remounted them, the large washered nuts don't seem to go back to the same spot, but the rims fit very tightly over the hubcentric part of the adapter so I can only assume they are mounting hubcentric. .
Thanks for all the help guys. Jonny[/QUOTE]

    Jon,
Lay the truck up for a couple of days and find a reputable machine shop that you can trust, have them check the trueness of the bolt patern that the wheel bolts to, make sure that the bolt pattern where the adaptors bolt to the truck are true, and then have them balance the adaptors(as long as everything else checks out)..Or box the whole mess back up and call Brentz wheels and ask them about building you a set of predrilled super singles.
These are just personal opinions based on previous experiences. and everyone has opinions.

didn't you say sumthin' 'bout the guys in Cola having trouble getting the bolts off? Or breaking torque wrenches?? Maybe they aren't slam-on-straight-up and you know what one small mm or degree off at one end can do at the other...very
Anyway, don't worry, it will all work out and your wheels will get to stay home and not get sent away, just like a soldier with symptomatic PAC's! How's that for a little ?

    As luck would have it.....................

an owner of a 4x4 shop walks into my office with his eye swollen shut from an abscessed tooth. long story short.....my truck is riding like a cadillac. He took out the sand bags, balanced the tires and rims, then balanced them again with the adapters, and shimmed the driveshaft carrier. Very slight vibrations but have only been driving it today. It is a night and day difference. I will update in a few days. Jonny

Snake, Oh Yah, I'm keeping them........

The look is great. It only matters what I think but I'm telling you, I get looks from all kinds. Hoopties, Dump truck drivers, to the cops. Slick.....thanks for taking my call and sharing your advice. Snake.....If I were you and you decide to go this way, I would suggest contacting www.chromewheel.com out in Texas. Thier website has a lot of info on thier balancing technique. I was going to send these back and order from them. Customer service at American Force wheels was less than stellar. Will keep you posted if anything changes in the near future. Thanks again Jonny

Mike, if you are ever over near Daytona Beach, stop in and talk to Mitch. He is the Owner and my contact at AQUASUN MOTORSPORTS (New Smyrna Beach) He has 10+ of my F650's that are being upgraded to Pick-ups.
    He does F250-F550 22.5 Wheel/Tire conversions.

Aquasun is who I got my original 22.5s/adapters from, I dealt with Tyler, and he worked with me on taking them back after I wasted a month and alot of money trying to make them work...stand up people.
