bullit proof....BTS tranny, JLP Level 10 tranny, Factory Tech Monster Box tranny (pre-jasper built). looking at quite a chunk of money.

easy smaller mods to improve shifts and increase longevity. FTVB! (Valve body). will decrease shift duration so less time shifting = less friction = less heat = less wear & improved shifts. and its progressive too. light throttle just notice crisp clean shifts, mid throttle gets nice and snappy, WOT snaps right into gear instantly

also good idea to get a deep tranny pan at the same time (factory 4x4 pan, B&M pan, moroso pan, etc.)

Could go a little further and throw in a 2400-2600 stall converter. LFP has PI converters on sale for 875 shipped.

Last thing you want to do is increase shift firmness via raising the line pressure in the tune...will decrease the life of the tranny

complete tranny by BTS or Monster Box by Gregg Evans. I am not aware of any shift kit that will make the tranny bullet proof.

from what i've heard Gregg Evans no longer builds the monster boxes himself, and they are now farmed out through Jasper. Havent heard many good things about the Jasper versions since then

just the valve body. will adjust shifts for firmer more crisp shifts the proper way. the JDM line mod valve can be harder on the tranny

Yea. That piece to the right is the valve body. Most people here just stick to certain brands/names. Those being LFP and Factory Tech.

But your paying 325 (w/o shipping) for a VB, filter, and a new gasket.

    Go through Chikenears. http://www.chickenears.com/transmission.htm

    VB - 225
    Filter - 20
    Re-use your gasket.
    -------------
    Total - 245 w/o shipping

Or Upgrade to a 4x4 pan (its bigger) for only 69 bucks w/ a filter.

    So... Valve Body 225
    4x4 pan and filter 69
    ---------------
    Total - 295 w/o shipping.

And thats buying everything seperate! Get it as a bundle from Chickenears and its only 279 w/o shipping!
    http://www.chickenears.com/accumulator_main.htm

    Hope that helps!

Smile Who sells these FTVB to Canadians?

    Gents,

Does anyone sell this FTVB 2C unit to us poor Canadians?

I see Chickenears will not due to extra costs associated with duties taxes etc.

Your help is appreciated.. would like to get one ASAP with 4X4 pan and filter.

    Post up SV's...

    Regards,

hey hopp, Is this for the new Whippled Harley? another thread mentions that they have the 4R70 or 75 tranny. Another option would be the 4R100. Would a 4R100 fit these trucks? possibly.

Unless there is an upgraded VB for the stock tranny that works well, the tranny might give out before the engine does.
