with a cogged setup you do not need one at all.....you will not have belt slip with a cogged setup...stock bracket with cogged setup will be perfect

IMO opinion save your money man. Only reason I have mine is that I already had it.

I don't think that is entirly true, yes there is zero slip with my Cogs however.
The after market bracket does take up the extra lentgh in the belts. The set use's a belt longer then stock, it uses a 69.5" belt unless Stews chart is incorrect that would leave app. a 1" of belt slopping around and if a smaller upper is used let's say a 2.7 then there is more slack.
Everyone so far is running an aftermarket tensioner that is running my kit'sand one is required ofr the other companies when they were selling them, so unless Stew wants too pull his off and find out I will say yes.
One does need one of some nature and as far as they go these are the best on the market.

actually I have been running my MP bracket with out the upper adj idler pulley on for about a month now and no issues.....

with a 6lb lower and 2.7 upper I would see a tensioner kit as a must for the reasons you stated

I have an aversion to PayPal.

Is there another way to get in on the group buy?

When I clicked the link it automatically opened up a PayPal window, and I'd much rather use a credit card on my lonesome.

If I HAVE to use PayPal I will only do it by using my credit card, and the prompts the link on Magnum Powers' website took me through offered me no such option.

Well my notes are Charrged, 02HD677, ilaybrk, HarleySteve, Flo2, jaypanchalk and myself have not sent the deposit yet.

There is no worry that I WILL pay for this GB,,, Just waiting on the CC to update my payment!!

BTW, NLOC got shut down by Big D for "NHTOC paid members only"!!!
So We gotta rally for the remaining buyers in the next couple of weeks!!!

Great job to the ones that have deposited already,,, the slippage will be over shortly!!

You can just call Charles at MP. He cannot take your CC info over the phone but he will accept your personal check or a money order. They are located just outside a small town called Forest Grove, OR (Portland area). His number is (503)357-5444. He only ships UPS so he needs a physical street address as a "Ship To" location.
