2 MTX THUNDER 7500 T7512-44 SUBWOOFERS 12" 1600W PAIR
Just purchased them and looking for an amp that would push them...looking at a MTX at the moment 2 channel.....any suggestions? i have a custom box to fit between the seats ....any suggestions..thanks in advance..
JL 1000/1 would be a great amp for that set-up! Get ready to drop some cash though.

You can get them online for about $700 I think. Retail at $999 Im pretty sure. Sweet amp though.
SD is correct. Expensive but Sweet! Both of us are running the JL 500/1 which is half the power of the 1000/1. I think Altons Audio in Goldsboro sells JL. I don't know anyone local that sales JL. There is a couple of new audio shops there in Clayton though, maybe they carry JL.
yeah one of them does..i did a search...to see how much it was and how much to install..going to need bigger wires i think....
On the other hand Mtx builds good quality into their products as well. They make 2 different lines the pro series and the every day Circut city, Best buy etc. I've run the pro series for years with no problems. Best bet is to go and demo everything in your price range get specs and ask others. Good luck.
well price is not that much of a problem..sold one of my new predators, line loc, and my stealth box...so just upgrading my system with that money..was trying to get it done with no out of pocket...but i might have to dig a little..can get a jl 1000/1 for 450 plus shipping...
well i can get 2 500/1 jl's is that going to be basically the same thing??? just more wiring or just hold out to find a good 1000/1??? nno big rush cause i already have a amp...just looking to get the most out of these speakers...atleast while the warranty is on them...LOL
Is that used? I would be careful about buying a piece of equipment that expensive used. You can get them for under $700 shipped, brand new on ebay. If you found a new one for $450 then definitely jump on it...i personally would not buy something like this used though.
2 500/1's will work just as good as a 1000/1 BUT it will be harder to tune correctly! $450 for a brand new 1000/1 is a GREAT price, but I wouldn't buy a used one. Too many things could be wrong unless you try it out first.
I ran MTX amps in the past also! Good amps but I think the JL's are cleaner and not so power sensitive.
which would be best...the kicker is cheaper....kicker kx1200.1 or the jl 1000/1
in the process of figuriing which i want to buy....also...might be in need of a new head unit....but that has to wait....cant throw down 1 grand or more right now....

Ive had JL, Kicker, Alpine, and Memphis amps and JL is by far the best IMO.
I have been doing some extensive research on it...and some of the reviews are saying that the kicker is far superior to the JL.....don't understand why it would be cheaper by a a couple dollars if that was true!!!!!....that JL will not be too much for my mtx 7512-44's will it?
