I am building an Everett Morrison Cobra. It has 427 side Oiler and toploader Trans with Weber Carbs.

This was the reason for leaving the L stock. I am almost finish with the Cobra so I am deciding to trade out of the L into a HD.

I also have a 9 month old and hate leaving my truck at home when we go on trips. If I get an HD I will be able to make road trips with the HD.

Besides the HD is cool as H311.

Welcome too the site, as stated there are many good mods to throw at our rides...
Nice Cobra, I have thought long and hard about selling my 68 Camaro going the kit route myself.
Bruce's truck is a fine example of a safely modded HD and as he said (Sad too say) he is leaving us for another (Dirty Rat) Ford..
But what he doesn't realize one can NEVER leave the fold.

    Black 2003,

I went to take a look in the classifieds but I did not see it.

I actually have my eye on one in MD that has 15K.miles. The only thing I do not like about it is that it does not have a sunroof. Also, there is another 1 with 27K miles that has a sunroof but alittle more milage.

What would be a good price from a dealer with this milage on them. I am assuming all stock and very clean.

Also, thank for the compliment on the Cobra. If you ever in SO. FL. I would give a ride just for owning your own bass @55 toy (HD)

no but every so often with pulling the plenum, blower, etc stuff needs to be repainted. JJ does it one way, i prefer another. i'd rather leave 1/16th of an inch of thread on the screw, than just jb weld it in there, incase i ever need to take it apart in the future. IMO thats thinking ahead as well as attention to details

    Harley#356,

I will post more pictures. Actually I am drive it around the block now jetting the Webers. After that I will strip it down send out to paint and then it will be done.
I will snap some shots to post a more recent progression.

Now I need to figure out what to get for my 00 L on a trade in or Private sale. Then I could move forward with the HD.

Any Idea what a 00 L with 75K in good condition is worth on trade in?

I am noticing that these trucks hold their value.

/\/\ i would say between 15-20k, but that varies between dealers and private deals.

For that mileage in this area a dealer would ask for around $26,000.00+ reason I say that is that is around what a local dealership down by me offered to buy mine at.

The classifieds have moved here is the new link to my truck.
    http://www.nhtoc.com/classifieds/sho...9/limit/recent

Let me know, the truck has been sitting in the driveway to keep the mileage off her. So she is at 47,000 miles which is still under the 60,000 KBB says "should be" on there.
