So what's this about the plenum. Are you talking about where the TB meets the plenum, or where the plenum meets the blower, or both? I want to make the best out of this free mod.

yes....you can use the gasket at both points as your template to mark the material that needs to be removed to make the transition from one to the next as smooth as possible.

Buy massive single blade TB and be done. Or is this a How To: Waste Time?

    j/k - guess a free mod isn't all bad.

    Hummm..

Josh's port magic TB + Lee's intake elbow Ive been dying to get + Stew's donation of a plenum spacer = some cool little mods to get me back in this game.

And Josh, I love me some steaks, so no problems there.

with the back of the TB just being two round holes, there's no real need to gasket match the inlet on the plenum as long as the opening is bigger than the two TB bores, gasket matching on the front side of the plenum isnt goign to increase flow. Obviously if the edge of the plenum is in the face of the bore opening then it would be a good idea to open it up.
gasket matching on the outlet side where it meets the s/c has potential to help.

I may port my spare plenum in the basement this weekend, so i may have it up in the classifieds if i get ambitious

    Very, very easy.

Just grab a few drum sanders for a dremel, and do work!
