    Tranny Pans

Who posted the thread w/pics of all the tranny pan options ... Gregg? I ordered one of his VBs from Chicikenears and heard that someone offers a pan that is 4.5 qts (Moroso?) over stock! I ordered the Ford Racing (2 qts over) from the dealer and can cancel W/I - 5 working days. If someone makes something deeper/wider/"cleaner", I want it. Haven't been able to find thread ... help!

The Mag-Hytec pan is the one with the most fluid capacity... ... BUT, unless your truck is lifted I would be extremely cautious of running that thing on the street. Minimal ground clearance.

The other cast aluminum pans ( B&M, Ford Racing, Hughes & PA Performance ) are all the same. There's one company that makes them with the only exception being the brand name that's cast into it. I bought the Ford Racing piece and it is very, very nice

Take a look at Tin Skelton's page, he compares several brands (pull down the page linked to see his info):

This pan is supposed to hold quite a bit of fluid and not be a concern with lowered trucks…

The MOROSO is what I decided to go with. Cancelled order for the Ford Racing pan earlier today. The 4R100/E4OD pan is new for MOROSO (part #42050) so I won't know what price/availability is 'til tomorrow. Did talk to MOROSO though and found that it holds 4.5 qts over. With drain on the side and only 3.25" depth, I will have ample clearance with 1-3 drop.

With the MOROSO and a 3-4 drop I think you would have to be VERY careful ... and slow ... going over a parking lot speed bump!
