Official SoCal Dyno Day Thread with Ryan

Ok guys. Ryan is willing to come out to tune our trucks. We need to pay for his airfare and hotel to make this worth his while. This cost is $625 to be split between all of the participating trucks. We still need a location that Ryan can tune at, but there are a lot in Southern California so that shouldnt be a problem. The price of the tunes are as follows:

    Ryan stated:
The prices for the tune will be 125 per truck as long as it takes, there will however be a charge from the dyno. Trucks with bolt on's generally take 1 hour or less, trucks with injectors, screw blowers, or MAF's usually a little longer.

I would expect the price if you have a programmer to be about 200 dollars with dyno time, if you need a programmer, I can supply Sniper Interfaces at 305 dollars, if you get a tune with them.

    $200 for tune +
    $625/5 (assuming 5 trucks)= $125

    =$325 a truck

The more trucks we get the cheaper it will be, but with 5 trucks as it is right now, a basic tune for bolt on trucks will be $325 each guy. Hopefully we can get more trucks and cut that down.

Ryan said he can tune 8 trucks in the day so that would make the cost
    $625/8= $78.13

Figure $280 per truck if we can get 8 trucks so pass the word along and lets make this happen.

People confirmed for SATURDAY SEPTEMBER 15TH

AS IT SITS RIGHT NOW, THE COST OF A TUNE ALONG WITH EXPENSES PAID FOR RYAN IS $325 EACH TRUCK ($625/5= $125 EACH + $200 FOR TUNE)

    Please post up confirmation.

Count me in as well, I am running a little rich and have a MAF extender that I will need a retune for, plus no belt slip

Timing was only set to 12*, still debating if it's worth going up one or two more degrees....

we bumped it up from 11 to 12* and only saw a 7 hp gain, so he said it might not be worth it. Plus my truck was on the dyno for a almost 2 1/2 hours trying to sort out the a/f issues, which we found out was a defective sniffer...

So I didn't want to hog up all the dyno time...

The big debate for me is which tuner to go with. I always thought that XCAL was the best and diablo was horrible, I guess that's a 6.0 PSD thing.

The sniper sounds great - I love how versatile ryan says it is, but I am turned off by the lack of a display. Just more convenient...
I also like how the XCAL holds multiple tunes vs. Diablo that only holds 1.

    we'll see......
