    new aerial required ??

    ok , have just priced up a new head unit for dad.the usual dvd,mp3 sat nav . but the lad tells us that the us spec wing mounted aerial is not up to much and recommends that we get a new aplified aerial from ford. has any one experienced this if , any part numbers or prices please would be a great help

    Hey Wayne,

    Can you not do away with the wing mounted ariel and get a hidden one that works?

    I would have thought if you're changing the complete head unit, the company could have sorted it for you?

    Hmmm.

    My "US spec" aerial works fine.
    Just make sure that it's grounded well where it fits under the wing.
    If you still have no luck, any aerial that fits will do the job. It doesn't have to be a special Ford version.

    well dad went a bought an electric aerial. is the reception you get with the little stubbie on the wing any good .

    Yeah but then you can fill it and it will look waaaaayyyyyy cooler..

    i would but hes at that age were any thing you do is major. " i aint got time for that . how much " etc. dad if you read this then trust me enjoy ya truck but if you do anything to mod it then its done rite, i know you said its ya last car before ya numbers called but wot ever we do we do it together.
