    Cog Belt System ***

Hi there guys i own a 2003 harley with stock block and stock heads, well all of the internals are stock including eaton blower. So far i have simple bolt ons like full exaust with headers, full intake, boost bypass, heat exchanger, and since its a harley i installed the lightning upper pulley. Im about to purchase a *** cog belt system but im not sure which ratio is safe for me i would like the 6lb lower and 2.7 upper which is the best kit i believe for higher boost if im not mistaken. I know that tunning is very important already purchased a diablo predator and have a really good tunner down here in miami. Well if u guys can help me i would appreciate it.Thanks

na I don't have the cog setup, i would like to have it though. maybe garrett will chime in or someone else who has the setup. do a search under cog setup or system, there is a video of dbl g's running, and man that thing sounds awesome!

go to lightningrodder.com to get in touch with dbl g. he isnt here anymore. be careful with how much boost you push out on a stock engine/stock block. the 6 lb lower pulley is what alot of guys here use though. like you said though a very good dyno tune is important. good luck!

I have the cog drive with the "L" upper & 6# lower. Its on a stock block with only an AF-1 intake and a Sniper tune. Since I loaded the tune it's been running great for several months now without any issues.
(Previously I had a "tune in the box" that didn't work out too well).
I also run a digital wideband and Vac/Boost to keep an eye on things...

IMO, if you don't beat the living daylights out of it you should be fine. I don't baby mine nor do I mash it to WOT every chance I get... I just drive it "spiritedly".
I do have several boxes of additional supporting mods sitting here though.

People have been running Cogged setups for quite a while...I know of 4 guys that have been running them for over three years and never a problem.....

I been running mine for over a year and coupled with the scream of the Magnum Powers...its intoxicating

    Welcome aboard Walter

Yep, you'll need another hub... something like this. Obviously you won't be using the outer ring:

It's a PITA to get the stock lower off.. watch out for the pitman arm when pulling hard because when she breaks loose, this may happen. Hurts too:

Several pounds of stock lower pulley removed: For clearance I bent a 90* in the trans line bracket and attached it to the corner oil pan bolt.

You'll probably need one of these up top. I'm changing over to the M-P setup so, this one may be in the classifieds in the near future:

What the finished product looks like from up top:

Hope that answers a few questions.....
