Guys,I read all the time peeps are unhappy with the new classifieds,it is in fact a separated thing,and never updated by most of the sellers,it was explained by BigD already that it was changed to this format because a lot of guys here asked,so he attended to those pleas,so this is what WE did...

...the cool thing is "we can place dibs and talk there too" but if we had a "Classifieds Redirect Forum" IMO would really make it more functional.
so please read the link,and vote on the pool,let's see if we can make better deals through the new classifieds.

I think that would be great, the only time I go into the classified is when I hear of somebody selling something. I very rarely go there just to look.

the older way was so much better, now you have to send a pm just to see if it is still available because of the lack of updating here and at nloc.

rather than a redirect, I think it should just go back to the old way. more parts were sold, and more parts available. the new layout is nice, but I forget to view it all the time.

a redirect forum would be kind of like 2 classified systems then. you know some people will just end up posting classifieds there instead of in the actual classified section. yeah mods can clean it up, but thats more work because it will definately happen. rather than a forum for redirects to the classified, I'd fully vote for just a classifieds forum back again and get rid of the new system!

NHTOC Classified Statistics (from June-Dec 2007):

• Users 5,346
• Active Ads 86
• Comments 506

• Value of items sold $351,154

Old NHTOC classified section statistics (from Aug 2004-Jun 2007):

• HD Trucks FS = 500
• HD Truck Parts FS = 2000
• WTB = 500
• TOTAL = 2800 (in 3 1/2 years)

NLOC Classified Statistics(from July-Dec 2007):

• Users 16,512
• Active Ads 514
• Comments 2,555
• Views 170,283
• Items Sold 641
• Value of items sold $865,227

So as all can see, the Classified Ads systems are working.

I think its hard to compare that though. the new system everything can be tallied up really easy. the old system since it was forum based, how can you get an accurate value of the money and parts sold without clicking on each thread and adding up the price each part was sold for?


I know I havent bought or sold a single thing off the NHTOC or NLOC classifieds since the system switched, mostly because I never remember to look at it, while on the old system I cant even add up how much I spent on the classified parts lol
