Does anyone know if the new Viper 5701 with Responder LE is on the market yet?
Yes officer... I am aware of how fast I was going!
looked up the truckin article.. it didnt say either, i want one also
looks pretty sweet! makes my old viper 791xv feel outdated
I like the minimal wires thing. definately simplifies an install with less wiring running everywhere!
i wonder the cost on a unit like this....
Anyone... Anyone?
I researched this technology at both Clifford and Viper,no luck of any mention on either sites. I seriously doubt its out...or even coming out any time soon.
I asked Dave (2TonHog) to check with his vendors. waiting on a response
The just got word from Directed Electronics that there's no hard ETA for this product.
They show off the remote online, and have a nice article on it, but the rep I spoke with couldn't get me a release date or pricing figures.
He did say that the modular wiring scheme is going forward and that the remote battery will last months rather than weeks...a definite improvement over the Responder remote, which kills the battery at the most inopportune time.
no kidding, when I used the truck more regularly I'd go through a AAA each month
Coming March 2008
$399
Viper 5701 LE 2 way Car Alarm/Remote Start System
really thats not bad! i think im going to have to get one.
not too shabby at all! looks like I'll finally pony up to get an alarm & remote start put into the stealth!
thats 399 installed... i bet its close to 150-200 for us to install it ourselves...
def something i will be looking at when it comes out... esp with the twins....screw a turbo timer...
Can anyone comment as to how they think the Viper 5701 would compare to the Viper 5900 SST. Stop by local Best Buy yesterday, they want $499.00 installed for the V5900. Haven't checked any other local places yet. I plan to install an alarm, as well as add a good subwoofer or the stealthbox this April. Hopefully, I can get info on getting the best components for each.
to bad your not closer....
i bought the 5900 off ebay for 200 shipped and i have a friend that works for a audio/video/alarm store as a installer that will install it for 150...
i cant wait for it to be installed and what not...
to bad i dont have a motor in it yet to see the remote start work..
stein... if you want buy the 5900 and i can have him install it for you also..
PM me and let me know... or anyone here in the dallas area...
