Installing Alarm need wire + info

    Hello all,

I need to find out some wiring information for a HD 03.

    Tach + location
    Neutral safety + location

Also, if anyone has ever installed a Clifford 50.5x model alarm can someone please explain

    Remote Start harness

    1. Pink/White (-) Acc2 Program IGN
    2. Yellow (+) IGN input to Alarm
    3. Pink (-) ign relay
    4. Orange (-) Acc relay
    5. Purple (-) Starter
    6. Orange / Black (-) Antigrind
    7. Blue (-) status output

There is no explaination as to what each wire is for.

Is this where the start relay gets connected ?

Yea that should be for the starter kill & remote start, i dont have any install manuals with me for that alarm but if i can find it on DEI's site i will post it later. Tach wire is under the hood, lt. green/white at the coil on the passenger side of the motor between the fuel injectors. Neutral safety gets grounded (car is automatic, therefore will only crank in park or neutral)

so they will install remote starts on manuals still?

somebody told me they wouldnt do it anymore cuz people leaving them in gear and whatnot. I always leave mine in neutral, and I'd LOVE to get a remote start thrown in it! Just been using that excuse to be lazy and never get around to looking into it haha

Most major install bays (Best Buy, Circuit City, Tweeter) will not do it because of liability issues with people leaving the cars in gear. The reason we ground the neutral safety on an automatic is because its not needed. On a manual you would need the neutral safety and a clutch override for the car to think the clutch has been depressed before it cranks..
