Garmin vs Double Din w/ Navigation

Other than the obvious audio/video capabilities... Will a Double Din w/ navigation have any advantages over a Garmin?
Yes officer... I am aware of how fast I was going!

You get both with the Kenwood DNX7100...the nav software is Garmin, and it's a double-DIN with a nice screen that's fantastically easy to use. I will say that the POI (points of interest) in my old Pioneer was MUCH better, but the actual routing and spoken street names is better on the Kenwood.

-I only have the indash (Eclipse AVN5495) and don't know about the Garmins
-In dash usually has a speed sensor pick up also which will give you more accurate positioning.
    -Larger screen
-Memory of your destination, so when you turn off your truck and then turn it back on (like getting gas or staying overnight in a hotel) it remembers your destination and starts where it left off.
-DVD and did I say Larger screen!
    -split screen turn guidance.
That is some of the stuff our nav does over my friends Garmin.
